Have you ever wanted to be someone else? You may have not wanted to physically be someone, but maybe you’ve wanted to embody who they were? What they have?
Alter Ego: a second self; or different version of oneself. A sense of being detached from yourself & your emotions. Looking from a distorted and unreal perception > Blurred sense of identity
I did .. I’ve used different name to identify parts of me but why not just by my God given name? I went by Octavia, Queen Gem, Ladiiluck, etc but shying away from Denise. Denise means “dedicated to God”. I remember when I took on my middle name Octavia. I morphed into this sexual, bullish feminine wanted person that really wasn’t me.
The fist creation to take on an alter ego was Lucifer. Lucifer > Satan/Devil
(Isaiah 14:12-17) 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
(Luke 10:18) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
2 Corinthians 4:1-4 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Lucifer was no longer happy with who he was, and he wanted to take on the role of God. He wanted to be God!
The devil wanted to be God! He was the highest cherub/a supreme angel and over the music in heaven. He was created for the purpose of music and worship to God. Also, God said he was beautiful
(Ezekiel 28:13)Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Everything God created the devil imitated and made it shameful. For example: the music and the rainbow. He was over the music in heaven for a good purpose and now he uses it for evil. Gods use of the rainbow was the promise he wouldn’t flood the earth anymore and now Satan has it representing homosexuality. (Rainbow scripture) He even imitates name changes . God changed the name to something good and the devil changes the names for evil > alter egos > alter egos are demons. We willingly invite the alter ego to influence us to manifest all we desire but not according to Gods will but Satans will.
A lot of people equate change to morphing into another person – someone in the end they don’t recognize in the end.
As always I speak from experience and at one point I wanted to be someone else completely different. Because I didn’t see my value, I felt being someone else will be more accepted. It may as well be but I was living a lie & one day I said “ I don’t even know who I am”. I was tolerating situations, circumstances and people that I wouldn’t have before.
Change or better yet growth doesn’t require you nor I to change who we are at our core: our values, interest, personality or characteristics but it does require change in Habits, behaviors and perspectives.
As we grow, our perspective will change as we evolve. It’s inevitable. We don’t think how we use to at 10, at 18, or 21. If you do, you may want to look into that.
Ego isn’t stated in the Bible but concepts and principles regarding ego does. Ego is a modern day terminology in which they didn’t use in the Bible days but it covers everything we deal with.
Ego is an exaggerated sense of self importance which = excessive preoccupation with self
The Bible speaks on us dying to self is the polar opposite of ego. It’s the biblical model for Christian’s. The worlds perception is the opposite and y’all can see what we have today.
Man has an inherited desire to be worshipped. Inherited from Satan as he too wanted to be worshipped. God says there will be no other Gods before me, that’s idolatry. Are you your own god before Thee God?
Beyoncé being one of the biggest names. The entire beehive will attack you for speaking anything negative on her & let’s not forget the Bible she created and now she has a religious following. But people are following demons.
Music Artists and their evil ‘alter egos’.

3. Christina Aguilera – X-Tina [Dominatrix, cat, evil side.]
4. Jay-Z – Jay-Hova [True Meaning: In Hebrew: Jehova for God.]

There are various forms of modern idolatry that have self at their very core.
It’s been pushed that contentment is achieved only by satisfying the urges of the self. Traced back to the Garden of Eden where Eve became stirred by Satans lie that she could “be like God” but why when they walked with God and had all he had even the dominion & power?! The Bible says we are gods because he imparts unto us the Holy Spirit when we get saved.
Ego is the opposite of Humility
& ego kills relationships, family, individuals, business partnerships, churches and the list goes on!
God hates pride (Proverbs 8:13)
Pride Turned Lucifer into Satan (Isaiah 14:13-14)
Satan focuses on self > I will ascend > I will rise > I will sit on the Throne > I will ascend > I will make myself like the most high!
Pride goeth before destruction (Proverbs 16:18)
(Matthew 23:2) Whoever exalts himself will be humbled!
Take the focus off self and unto God > The Christian life devoid of ego, the “I will” becomes “thy will”
We are to emulate Jesus’s humility. He was humble even unto the cross.
(Philippians 2:3-4) Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
